Frequently Asked Questions

We've gathered together answers to some of the most common questions we get asked about our services.

What happens to unused credits?

Credits don't roll over. Your monthly allowance resets each month. This keeps things simple and encourages you to actually use what you're paying for (which is the whole idea).

What platforms do I work with?

Webflow for websites and landing pages. Kit, MailChimp, HubSpot and the like for email. Zapier and Make for automations. Circle or Mighty Networks for community platforms. And whatever scheduling and social tools make sense for your business.

If there's a platform you're already using for your email, CRM or community, I'll almost certainly be able to work with it.

Do I have to host my website with you?

All Webflow sites work best with Webflow's own hosting. I'll design and build your website to be optimised for it: this means you can take advantage of the enhanced performance, security and fast technical support of my hosting service. If you have an existing site hosted elsewhere, we can look at how best to migrate it across. All of the sites I create can be run from your own Webflow account so you have direct control of your hosting and billing, but can still allow developers access to build and fix things for you.

What makes you different?

I bring a combination of strategy, design and development to your company's web experience, built from more than a decade working in commercial Marketing, Digital and Development environments. This means that there’s no loss of momentum after that first meeting, as you’ll get all of the web technology, sites, pages, templates and integrations set up for you, leaving you and your team to focus on your business's mission. Training on new systems is included so everyone feels comfortable using any new tools.

Can I change what I spend my credits on each month?

Absolutely, that's the whole point. Your strategy call at the start of each month is where we decide together what to prioritise. One month might be all email campaigns. The next might be landing pages and social content. You're never locked into a fixed set of deliverables.

What if I need more credits than my tier includes?

No problem. You can buy additional credits at your retainer rate at any point during the month. No renegotiation needed. If you're consistently going over, we can talk about moving to a higher tier to save even more per credit.

Can I start with pay-as-you-go and move to a retainer later?

Of course. Plenty of clients start with a one-off project or a few PAYG credits to see how we work together. When you're ready for something more consistent, we'll find the right tier for you.

How many clients do you take on?

I work with a small number of retainer clients so I can give each one proper attention. This isn't a production line. Every client gets genuine strategic thinking, not a templated service.

When retainer slots are full, they're full. If you've worked with me on a website build project, you get first refusal on the next opening.

You can see my current retainer availability on the pricing table above.

Why Credits Instead of Hours?

Credits take the guesswork out of budgeting. You're not watching a clock or worrying about whether a quick question costs you time. You know exactly what each deliverable costs before you commit to it.

It also means I'm incentivised to work efficiently, not to stretch things out. Better for both of us.

What can you spend credits on?

Fundamentally, any web development or digital marketing.

Website tweaks and content updates, blog posts and articles (copywriting), strategy or consulting sessions (beyond your monthly call), email campaigns, social content, landing pages for campaigns, launches, and lead magnets, automations (welcome sequences, funnels, integrations) and full email sequences for nurture and onboarding flows.

Not sure how to spend your credits? That's what the strategy call is for. We'll figure it out together based on what's actually going to move the needle for your business.

How fast will we get our new website launched?

As quickly as fits your needs. I use Results Driven Design for websites I build:L an approach that can launch a Minimum Viable Product in a few weeks, then expands and improves it based on how actual visitors are using it. This keeps your marketing agile and responsive to your audience’s needs. But if you're wanting a big launch all at once, or are replacing an existing site, we can put together a development plan that can have your entire site ready to launch within 8-12 weeks.

How long is the commitment?

Retainers run on a rolling monthly basis with a six-month minimum term. After that, either of us can cancel with 30 days' notice.

I'm confident you'll want to stay, but you're never trapped.
